Rat King drops you straight into the tiny, scrappy world of a rat doing whatever it takes to survive. It’s a simple but surprisingly tricky broughlike where you control not just one rat, but more than that. They scamper through twisting tunnels, snatch up odd items, dodge bigger critters, and try to live to squeak another day. If you’ve tried browser roguelikes like PokeRogue or PokeScape, you’ll feel right at home here—but Rat King does its own thing, too.

This game doesn't require intricate plots or eye-catching graphics. The charm is all in its clean pixel look and the way each maze is never quite the same. One moment you’re creeping along a corridor, the next you’re cornered unless you whip out a hidden cheese bomb or speed boost. Runs are quick, but every one feels different enough to keep you sneaking back for “just one more try.”

How to Play

1. Choose Your Style
   Want just to poke around? Try Casual mode. Want real stakes? Go Hardcore and see how far your squeaky skills take you.

2. Get Moving
   On a keyboard, use WASD or the arrow keys. On a phone or tablet? Swipe in the direction you want your rat to scurry.

3. Use Your Tools
   Got a special item? Hit 1–5 on your keyboard or tap the icon if you’re on mobile. A well-timed cheese bomb or burst of speed can mean the difference between escaping a predator and ending up as lunch.

4. Collect and Upgrade
   As you play, you’ll earn tokens. Between runs, trade them for upgrades—maybe more health, a new perk, or something that helps you outsmart whatever’s lurking in the next maze.
