Pokennection is the kind of Pokémon puzzle that makes you say, “Easy!” and then spend five minutes staring at the screen. You get 16 Pokémon names, four secret groups to uncover, and only a limited number of chances to get things right. Your mission is to figure out what connects them. It could be their types, evolution families, colors, abilities, or some tiny detail that only a dedicated Pokémon fan would remember.
Forget catching Pokémon for a moment. In Pokennection, you're putting your detective hat on instead.
The game presents a board filled with 16 Pokémon names. Hidden among them are four categories, with four Pokémon in each group. Scan the names and see whether anything catches your eye. Perhaps you recognize an evolution family, spot several Pokémon from the same generation, or notice another shared trait.
Found a possible match? Click four names and submit your selection. Get it right, and those Pokémon leave the board. Make a mistake, and you lose a life. That's where things get interesting: some names may appear to fit together perfectly, only for your guess to turn out wrong.
Keep finding the correct groups until the entire board is cleared. The daily puzzle gives you a new challenge each day, while Unlimited mode lets you play additional rounds without waiting for the next reset.
There's no need to memorize a list of keyboard shortcuts. Pokennection keeps things simple:
Select Pokémon: Click a name on the board.
Form a group: Choose four names that share a connection.
Check your answer: Click the on-screen submit button.
Continue playing: Select another group from the remaining names.
Change game mode: Use the available menu options to access another mode.
Everything revolves around clicking, thinking, and occasionally changing your mind before submitting a questionable guess.
My favorite approach is to look for the easiest group first. Pokémon with an obvious shared type or a recognizable evolution connection are good starting points. There's little point wrestling with a tricky category when a simpler one is sitting right in front of you.
Also, don't rush to submit just because four names look familiar. Check whether they all follow the same rule. Two might share a type while the other two have something else in common, creating a tempting but incorrect combination.
Once a group disappears, study the remaining names again. A connection you missed earlier may suddenly become obvious. And since wrong answers cost lives, a little patience can save you from an unnecessary mistake.
Pokennection mixes Pokémon knowledge with the satisfying feeling of cracking a puzzle. Veterans can put years of franchise trivia to work, while casual players can enjoy experimenting with different connections. The daily challenge is short enough for a quick break, and Unlimited mode is handy when you want another round.
